FAQ
What is this Healthcare crisis that is continually in the news?

Not only have we reached a point in Healthcare where we, as a nation, cannot pay for all the treatment of diseases, the average American is paying far too much each year for treatment of diseases and sick-care. The woeful statistics are compelling, they are fully documented, and they are available upon request. Just as distressing is the waning quality of life experienced by the average American. Sedentary, obese, overweight, and poor nutrition problems have diminished our overall quality of life.

How do we solve the problem that we face and avert going deeper in crisis?

Reactionary measures have not worked. Traditional medicine approaches alone have not worked and are only increasing the cost of medical care. We must promote and support Well-care, Fitness, and Nutritional (Refer to Dr. Ann Kulze) initiatives along with traditional medicine. As the CDC and the Surgeon General have acknowledged, we must all get involved in Medical Fitness---just as we did with the sustainability of the earth. It is time for each of us to begin to sustain our own personal health---and our communities---with a campaign focused on Medical Fitness.

What do you mean by Well-care and Medical Fitness?

This is not the type of medical fitness promoted by salons or practitioners that inappropriately use the term---this is true Medical Fitness. It includes an acceptable level of exercise, an embracing of prudent nutritional measures, a wise handling of our mental and spiritual states, and an overall level of responsibility for our quality of life. It is working to prevent illness and working to keep people healthy. And it is enacted to manage the debilitating effects of illness. It is best entitled “Exercise is Medicine”. (Refer to Dr. Eddie Philips from Harvard Medical School.)

Medical Fitness has been around for a while; so what is different about iH3?

iH3 is a new company, based on many cumulative years of Medical Fitness and Healthcare experience, that is committed to a new paradigm of Medical Fitness. The new paradigm of iH3 Medical Fitness is much more sophisticated than the average Hospital based center of today. Here is how:

  1. Our Centers are fully integrated with Primary Care Physicians and fully interact with every aspect of cutting-edge Healthcare and medicine. Our Centers are an extension of the iH3 Well-care Physicians who are fully versed in how we dispense Fitness and Nutrition. Our Therapists and Fitness Instructors will be among the best equipped in the market. Each Physician, Therapist, and Instructor will work in tandem to provide the ultimate in care.
  2. This close relationship to the Physician will be used to influence and guide the patients into improving their health and increasing their quality of life via prescriptions of Exercise and Nutrition. It will also provide an additional level of “safe” exercise by having Physicians on site.
  3. We will custom-design each training program after an extensive 12-15 point interview and check-up process that includes current level of health and fitness, metabolism, family and genetics, heart rate, age, gender, etc. This is not a “one size fits all” strategy. It is tailored to your own personal needs. And it demands only what you are able to give. Our strategy is to ramp up slowly and create good habits.
  4. Our primary Medical Fitness equipment resource is TechnoGym. It is the most comfortable and most reliable fitness and exercise equipment made today. It also is the most advanced system in the world.
  5. With the TechnoGym equipment, the Medical Fitness system software loads a personal program into each machine and then tracks and records the results. This equipment interfaces with the electronic medical records to provide a comprehensive outcome-based report.
  6. This outcome-based reporting could become the metric statistics that change the face of health insurance. We could finally be able to gain lower rates by demonstrating the measures taken to improve our health and level of fitness.
  7. The overall results could be a more productive population that spends far less time and money on sick-care. It could also alleviate the pressure of the national Healthcare crisis and save the average person hundreds of dollars each year.
How do you convince people to change?
iH3 has studied the obstacles to effective Medical Fitness and provided many new components which are grounded in practicality.
  1. By using the powerful influence of the iH3 Primary Care Physician to “prescribe” exercise and improved nutrition for their patients (and educate them regarding Medical Fitness), we can make a far greater impact on communities and individuals. Our target goal is to recruit only 10-20% of each Physician’s patient volume.
  2. We have studies which prove significant monthly savings for those people who will make our programs an on-going way of life. They will actually save much more than they will spend on monthly membership dues by joining us at iH3.
  3. Our iH3 way of life will likely pave the way for obtaining insurance more readily---and at a lower cost. Our theory is that outcome based reporting will provide the provable metrics needed to obtain lower rates. It will also be a dynamic tool for Insurers.
  4. Our iH3 system of full integration means that they can exercise with much improved safety. There are many people who are apprehensive about joining a Fitness Center. Our close relationship with the Physicians will be used to warmly introduce them to new and better habits.
  5. For those who will seriously reflect on what it means to have quality of life, the iH3 center will offer a haven of improved health and increased productivity. We believe that many people will choose a better quality of life---and possibly higher wages---if they are given the right opportunity.
  6. Our other iH3 motivational tools for improving Fitness and Nutrition include the benefits of deeper sleep and better rest, increased stamina, the option to eat more food at times, an overall enjoyment of good health, a more positive mental state, and just feeling better more often than not.
  7. iH3 plans to continue to study ways to better motivate people to change. This study is currently an on-going informal discussion and observation endeavor, plus the perusal of much research data already available. We hope to make it more clinical in the near future.
